Space Tentacles

Created for Jern Jam 3, Space Tentacles pits the player against a giant, endless space monster. But you're not fighting alone... your Twitch viewers can help patrol your mothership, gather resources, and aid you in upgrading your ship! How much of the monster can you destroy? Can you and your Twitch viewers achieve a high score together?

How to Play?

Shoot the tentacles and grab them with 1-5 to get upgrades. When you are ready kill the mouths that shooting at you to progress to the next part of the monster.

The more parts you kill the higher Point multipler you get!

Can you outgrow it or will it grow faster and stronger then you?

Controls

- W => Accelerate Forward
- S => Accelerate Backward
- A => Rotate Left
- D => Rotate Right
- Q => Accelerate Left
- E => Accelerate Right
- Shift => Boost in the accelerated direction
- 1-5 => Activate / Destroy the Grabber
- Space => PEW PEW (you can hold it)

Twitch Integration

Twitch integration is very basic and it was more like an experiment / ducttape Solution to get it running smoothly. (Kani: I'm sorry when it may crash it is not battle tested yet and to make it working in 2 weeks was a hard thing to do ^_^")

Twitch Permissions

When you enable Twitch Integration the app will get Access to read / write in your chat to notify about upgrades and listen to the !grab 1-5 / !shoot 1-5 commands. Also it requests Poll Access that the viewer can decide what upgrade the streamer gets.

When a grabber gets shoots and a viewer activates again the grabber. It gets a push otherwise the viewer can activate the grabber themself.

When the viewer uses !shoot 1-5 he mans that cannon and improves the firespeed. To balance it out the other canons will shoot procentual slower. So that people with many viewers don't get an unfair advantage :).

Highscore

Only twitch integrated games can submit a highscore. But the highscore server has currently little problems that I fix soon :D. But it can be possible that the Highscore Feature is not working at all. It's the least tested feature so bear with me xD

Highscore Server is broken........... except you host your own server http://localhost is not a valid address ^_^

Known Bugs:

- Display for next upgrade doesn't show the correct value.
- Scaling of monster seems to be buggy :(
